That Thing 2023
“To say what will happen, or won’t; except if.”
When Jesus says, “You’ve heard that it was said,” you should know that a seriously earth-shattering insight is about to be revealed; the cultural norms, traditions, and realities of our human condition are about to be challenged.
The way it is, isn’t the way it has to be.A better pathway exists. Situations and circumstances can improve.People can be redeemed and restored.The future can look oh-so bright.
The Israelite people were looking for a Messiah who would be a political and military savior. The story unfolded with an “unless” that brought about a Messiah who gave them something better.
Unless, is the overture to the rebellion, a front leading the winds of change. It is rooted in empathy, love, and longing; our unless is the personalization of each one’s role in restoring God’s Kingdom right here and right now.
At That Thing, 2023, we will focus on moving towards and living in redemption. We will strive to leave as healers and life-givers to the world around us.

- 6:30p-7:00p – Adult Leader Orientation *Lodge holder and 1 other adult from each group (all remaining adults please participate at Dinner Games) (Location: Glass Memorial)

- 8:30a-8:40a – Daily Launch (cabin)

Volunteers Needed
We are in need of volunteers to assist with leadership of Clubs, Student Labs, and some of the activities in the free block time.
Student Clubs- There are two different daily offerings for interest-based- campus-mixing activity groups: athletics, student publications, brain games, board games, craft clubs, music, drama, mission projects, and more.
Student Labs- Interactive breakout groups that dig into themes including: spiritual journey exploration, spiritual disciplines, character building, skill building, and discussion groups.

From 2p-4p, there is a ton of stuff to do around here!
During your free time, you can choose what fun, exciting, or challenging things you want to do. Don’t just sit around all day ever day…make the most of your camp experience!
